Making Corners

Making Corners is a design-based experiment that re-examines "the corner problem" through the lens of emerging technologies. Similar in size, they are a catalog of non-texture-mapped corners that index material behaviors and assemble standard construction materials with visualized forces and actions. Despite what the technique of texture mapping might suggest, material is never paper-thin. This project seeks to amplify the potential of materials and their active role in the process of space-making, producing new aesthetic categories of puffiness, stickiness, malleability, and other forms of looseness.
